As a veteran trader in the stock and commodity markets, I get to review alot of new trading material that comes into the market place each year. Almost every month, I see a slew of new trading systems, newsletters, commodity trading techniques, "secret" technical analysis methods, and tons of hype surrounding a new software program that professes to be the next "Holy Grail" of trading. Sadly, 99.9% of these releases never live up to the incredible hype surrounding their launch and leaves many aspiring traders feeling more helpless in confronting the markets as well as lighter in the wallet. Personal experience has shown me that the more effective trading techniques are never found in the ad pages of Investor's Business Daily but by less publicized work from experienced traders. One of these works is the Blue Collar Trading Manual by Billy Williams over at StockOptionSystem.Com.

I came across StockOptionSystem.Com after perusing some trading articles on the web when I came across an article on momentum stock selection written by a trader named Billy Williams. I went to his site to check it out and found several articles on stock option trading and online stock trading with emphasis on momentum stocks. I also read thru his blog entry and found his stock picks were spot on which impressed me.

Eventually, I ran across the sales page for the Blue Collar Trading Manual and skimmed thru it while taking note of points of interest. After reading thru the site I decided to take a chance and purchase the manual since the author appeared to know what he was talking about in relation to the markets and stock selection. Besides, as long as I get one idea that I can profit from it is well worth it in my mind and if I don't the manual comes with a six-month guarantee.

There are two bonuses that come with the manual and both are easily downloaded in PDF format within seconds of purchasing. I printed them off and began studying them and found them to be direct as well as effective methods in there own right. I found myself smiling as the author began to recount his beginnings as a trader and some of the gut wrenching obstacles he encountered because it reminded me so much of my own beginning. With persistence, he details how he refined his trading edge with statistical analysis to lower his risk profile while quantifying how he raised the probability of winning on each trade.

He then detailed many of his methods and trading techniques for selecting the best stocks for large upswings, momentum stock trading, a simple option trading strategy that consistently brings in money almost every week, possibly the best system for spotting turns in the market that I have ever seen, and a lot more. Even more, if you have any trading experience, you will be able to tell that this was written by a trader who has more than had his knocks in the market and that the success he enjoys now is in large part because of the lessons he has had to learn from those knocks.

The Blue Collar Trading Manual is not without fault though. Its main flaw is that it was written by a professional trader and not a professional writer. While the value of the content is there it is not Shakespeare. It is direct and does not contain any filler.

Secondly, it does not really take into consideration the absolute beginning trader. The author is very upfront that he does not want the reader to waste time reading on price patterns and technical analysis methods when that type information is readily available on the internet. If you can do an internet search for it then you won't find it in this manual. The author assumes that the reader has a basic education in price patterns and trading jargon.

I felt drawn to write about this trading material as I think it is filled with practical information that can really help alot of traders out there. I believe that the author will eventually become more recognized in the industry and I think helping aspiring traders become familiar with his methods will help them navigate there way in the stock and option markets. The Blue Collar Trading Manual is a noble effort that imparts alot of trading techniques as well as wisdom to anyone who adds it to there personal trading library.
