You probably see the advertisements everywhere " magazines, newspapers, even online. It seems like there is a new wrinkle cream being introduced to the market on a daily basis, each of which guarantees to be a breakthrough in wrinkle treatment or some sort of miracle cure for the outwards signs of aging.
Can you believe all the hype? Are dermatologists really discovering new ingredients to put into their skincare products that are so much better than the last? Should you keep buying every new wrinkle cream that gets advertised every day, and what can you really believe about all those ads?
While it is certainly true that advances are made from time to time in wrinkle treatment and there are products that are far superior to earlier ones or have new ingredients which can be effective, not all of these claims can be true. By the same token, one shouldnt discount every claim made either.
From time to time, a new product will come out which does in fact perform far better than the products currently available. There may be a new ingredient which has great benefit and there is of course research continuously going on in the field of wrinkle treatment in particular and skin care generally.
However, skepticism is healthy in a market where so many new products are constantly arriving, each promising to be the best thing yet. There are only so many scientific breakthroughs in a given time period; many of these claims are simply marketing hype on behalf of the manufacturers. When you hear claims that sound too good to be true, guess what? They almost certainly are. Beware of products which claim to make you appear a decade younger instantly and similar statements.
There really can be no miracle creams like this, as creams just aren't strong enough to actually erase deep wrinkles from your face or reverse years of aging in just a few applications. As a matter of fact, virtually every new wrinkle cream on the market is just like the old ones, with perhaps one or two small changes. And sometimes there are no changes at all, except to the label!
Regardless of any claim made by a new wrinkle cream, you want one that will work for you in particular. Your skin type may not be right for whatever is in this latest product, or it may not address your problem areas in particular.
Especially if you have sensitive skin do you want to be wary of always changing to whatever new wrinkle cream is advertised, as this can irritate your skin even more. Adjusting to these new ingredients or even the dyes and perfumes being used can cause your skin to break out, to start to itch or to dry up, giving you more problems than before.
